Help me build my portfolio.
I'm looking for a few local businesses willing to share a real workflow challenge. If it's a good fit, I'd like to work on a small, clearly defined project at no charge.
What could be a good fit?
Recurring spreadsheet work, difficult reporting, awkward data handoffs, or a small internal tool that could remove unnecessary steps.
Projects should have a specific problem, an available point of contact, and a scope we can agree on before work begins.
What's the arrangement?
No fee for an agreed, limited project. In return, I'm hoping for honest feedback and permission to describe the work in my portfolio, with appropriate confidentiality protections.
Any third-party services, licenses, or hosting would be separately approved and paid for by the business.
Start small. Build something useful.
I'm focused on practical business improvements, not large transformations or expensive technology for its own sake. The first step would be a conversation about the problem and whether I can responsibly help.
What I'd need before a project starts
- A clearly defined scope and expected deliverable.
- Written agreement on confidentiality, data access, ownership, and support.
- Mutual agreement about whether a public or anonymized case study is allowed.
